New Goal: Learn how to manage a bee colony for pollinating my garden and harvesting honey.
New Goal: I will set up at least 2 Langstroth hives in the spring of 2016. I just got a great deal on a ton of beekeeping equipment which includes a large separator, drain barrel, solar oven and frames to set up at least a dozen hives. I would love to have all of them set up by the end of summer but I'm only setting an initial goal of 2 hives. Once accomplished, I'll set more goals.
Progress Started: Starting with 2 hives, grow to a half dozen hives using to sustainable bee keeping practices of Michael Palmer.

New Goal: Really want to raise my own hives here in Alaska. Big challenge due to locale.
Progress Report: Year two (2014) ordered two more packages one appeared to be a dud from the start and lived till fall then died off. The other hive still alive as of Dec 2014
Progress Report: Year one only had one hive. Was a week hive and was a month late. It was lost early part of winter.
New Goal: Full life-cycle of leaf-cutter bees. Create/purchase beehouse. Put it in a good location for bees. Create good habitat/blossoms. Defeat parasites. Harvest & refrigerate. Clean beehouse. Harvest in 2015.
New Goal: I want to advance from being a beginning bee keeper. I want to become more confident and proficient in making splits, doing hive inspections, treating naturally for hive pests *SHB & Varoa* requenning, and keeping up with bees more consistently and regularly.
New Goal: Build Hives & Set Bait Boxes for local bees
