Progress Report: I started a 9 mile run on Sunday. I jogged 2 miles and walked 7. My biggest mistake was wearing poor footwear. For the last 36 hours, I've been sore as all get all! I bought a good pair of running sneakers and will plan to run 5 miles tomorrow. My legs are still a little sore (12:30am on Tuesday) but I think I can complete 5 miles. 32 days until I run in the 1/2 marathon...13.1 miles. At 45 years old, I'm excited!
New Goal: Run a half marathon! Just signed up with my coworkers to run the Rock N Roll Half Marathon in Brooklyn, NY on October 10th. I ran in the New York City Marathon 13 years ago but haven't run long distances since. This is going to be challenging but rewarding!
