Progress Started: plant 2 trees and keep the dogs from destroying them.
11-2-13 The dogs now have their own enclosure where they can be without supervision. The rest of the yard is only when I let them out. Should plant trees now !
1-7-2015 Planted 4 trees at the city lot (Apricot, Nectarine, Plum and Fig). Already had the dying pear tree. Planted 3 trees at the ranch :almond x2 (pollinating partners), and pomegranate.
Planning an artichoke fence for the ranch and some kiwi vines for the city.
Progress Started: make one king sized quilt for the new bed.
11-2-13 I should finish the scarf I started before the winter before taking on any new projects.
1-7-2015 I have decided to knit this quilt. Originally as a gift for my newly married brother (7 year is cotton, close enough). I'm making stripes and will connect them together once I have enough of them. I started knitting in March 2014 and have 6 stripes of 42 stitches x 74" in length. I took one "scarf" to vacation and my brother did nothing but complain about one dropped stitch which I picked back up one row later and it left one "hole". I no longer know if this is going to be a gi
Goal Completed: acquire a mama bunny, have one litter and put my first rabbit on the table for thanksgiving
Jan 2013. Currently reading Storey's Rabbit book. In the chapter about building a hutch. I have already reviewed my local city ordinances. Need to aquire cages and start building the structure.
4-14-13 Old Mama Rabbit died at 1:30 in the morning. Got a one on one skinning lesson. Hide is pinned and under thick layer of salt. I'm going to do the yolking technique from Unlucky Hunger's blog. More natural and less toxic than battery acid. Besides, there used to not be such a thing and hides got tanned! Didn't keep the meat this tim
Progress Report: 11-2-13 I quit smoking !!!! I've passed the "chop all heads off" cycle, and it should be downhill from here. I was also glad to hear my dad finally kicked the habit after 40+ years of smoking... My mom quit a few years ago. The boyfriend is working on it. He ran out a week ago and bums one instead of buying a pack. It's a big step.
Progress Report: 11-2-13 Took the dogs to the farmer's market this morning. Had not done that in a while. They behaved alright at first, lots of excitement, and were good girls after they calmed down. They don't really know how to behave on a leash since they are rarely on them. They have free reign of the house, have frequent supervised city lot front yard explorations (without a leash, they know where they're supposed to stop), and 3 acres to go run on in the country. in other news, my back is doing better so I can have doggy outings without killing myself.
