New Goal: Be able to defend myself in both a fight and ambush situation (even against a much larger opponent)

Goal Completed: Never ending but I do have a punching bag hung and will continue to make power count.
New Goal: I am planning to take classes on practical, real world self defense. For now, I am looking to avoid sport martial arts (though I will attend those later for other reasons). For now, looking to find the most effective classes to keep me alive and safe as possible against the threat of violence. I also want to focus heavily on threat awareness. de-escalation, and legal/ethical ramifications, such as those described in "Facing Violence", which I'm reading now.
Immediate goals- I'd like to research, choose, and sign up for beginner's level classes by end of December 2013.
